Trusonic Introduces 2005 MBOX Player for Business Music and Messaging
San Diego, CA - March 2, 2005 - Trusonic, the leading provider of Internet-based business music and messaging services, announced today the availability of its 2005 MBOX, a new generation digital player for storage and broadcast of on-premise and on-hold music and messaging. Unlike consumer digital music players, the Trusonic 2005 MBOX is commercial grade and controlled over the Internet utilizing Trusonic's proprietary software and technology.
The 2005 MBOX is Trusonic's fifth generation digital music and message player and provides businesses with many new features and benefits. These include processes that allow users to control on-premise volume levels remotely and differentially for both music and messages in two different zones. In addition, features have been added that bring reliability, ease of installation, speed of delivery and new programming flexibility to Trusonic subscribers.
The Trusonic MBOX player is installed in businesses as the front end of a system that automates and simplifies the process of downloading and playing selected songs and promotional messages, while providing the flexibility of changing music programming on a daily basis for each business location or group of locations. Each night, the Trusonic MBOX automatically updates its schedules and promotional messages via the Internet. Businesses can coordinate new audio messages with other promotions that can be scheduled for the next day, the next week, or any time in the future using the Trusonic web-based programming interface.
"Our resellers and subscribers were looking for us to take the MBOX to the next level of functionality, reliability and versatility. The new 2005 MBOX builds on four generations of design expertise and customer experience to deliver an unmatched delivery platform," said Dan O'Neill, chief technology officer for Trusonic. "With the new MBOX, Trusonic continues to lead the way in technology innovation, making on-premise promotion through music and audio messages a powerful revenue generator for users."
Features of the 2005 MBOX include:
- The ability to communicate through dial-in phone line or Ethernet, with multiple back up numbers to insure connectivity
- Improved diagnostics and a backlit display for low light installations
- Easy to use with any type of telephone or PBX system on-hold interface
- Increased volume, delivering 1.0 Vrms line level output, a 40% increase over previous designs
- Independent volume controls for messages and music in a two zone configuration
- Enterprise network support including proxy authentication, firewall and content filter compatibility and a security-hardened network interface design
